Daytime legend Carol Burnett lovingly talked soaps on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. She appeared on the late night show to preview her new book, In Such Good Company: Eleven Years of Laughter, Mayhem, and Fun in the Sandbox.

In the book, Burnett details her daily schedule, which included costume fittings and lunch. Just like many daytime fans, AMC comprised another entry into her to-do list. Yes, that’s right, Carol Burnett watched All My Children daily!
In fact, each day she took time out of her intensely busy life to catch up on Pine Valley and the life of Erica Kane. Burnett even appeared on the show several times throughout AMC’s history. She portrayed Verla Grubbs, the daughter of Langley Wallingford.
Admires Soap Stars
