Spotlight: Could A Former Soap Hunk Replace A Lethal Weapon Star?

 Comments

According to numerous reports, a star of the Fox action/crime drama Lethal Weapon is not returning to the show next season if it’s renewed due to the performer’s bad behavior.

Multiple sites are reporting that Fox (which airs the show) and Warner Bros. (the studio that produces it) have decided not to bring actor Clayne Crawford back to Lethal Weapon due to inappropriate behavior on set.

Deadline reported that Crawford has a history of “behavioral issues and has been disciplined several times over complaints of emotional abuse and creating a hostile environment.”

The report stated that the actor has been disciplined after show personnel spoke out.

Based on the hit film Lethal Weapon, the TV series tells the adventures of Martin Riggs (Crawford) and Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayons) as they fight crime in the Los Angeles area.

Riggs, a former Navy SEAL, is dealing with the death of his wife and their unborn child. Meanwhile, Murtaugh has a new look on life having suffered a near-fatal heart attack. Together, they have formed an unlikely partnership that gets the job done.

However, it now appears that the partnership may be split up if Crawford is written off the show, but the actor’s Instagram page shows that he feels everyone knows his future except himself!

However, if the series opts to recast there’s one soap hunk who thinks he’d be great for the job — Mark Lawson (ex-Brody, One Life to Live)!

Like Riggs, Brody is a former Navy SEAL so the actor’s certainly got both the athletic ability and the acting chops to handle the gig!

Lethal Weapon airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
