Soap Hub looks at the Hits and Misses for the week of February 10-14 in the worlds of Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless.
Top 10 Hits and Misses
10. MISS: Shunning Sharon at Crimson Lights (Y&R). If characters like Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Summer (Allison Lanier) run into Sharon (Sharon Case) outside of Crimson Lights, have at her. But do not go into the place that she owns and unload all over her. It’s wrong on so many levels.
9. HIT: Belle and Brady’s conversation (DAYS). Martha Madison and Eric Martsolf showed off their great sibling chemistry as Brady needled Belle about sleeping with EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). Belle didn’t appreciate her mother spilling the tea to Brady. It ended up being a fun conversation.

8. MISS: Martin defends Cyrus (GH). When did Martin (Michael E. Knight) change his mind about Cyrus (Jeff Kober)? His coming to his brother’s defense came out of the blue. Sure, he’s a lawyer and loves to argue, but his faith in his brother has never been great. Is this a case where Martin can say whatever he wants to his brother, but nobody else can? Martin’s fierce defense of Cyrus perplexed us.
7. MISS: Hope Logan, the Voice of Forrester Creations (B&B). At the jewelry line launch gathering, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) weren’t the ones who tried to hype up the somewhat somber room. Hope (Annika Noelle) did, and it was weird. She keeps pushing Carter’s leadership prowess, yet she is the one acting like the head coach of the team. Has the power gone to her head?
6. HIT: Danny and Rocco are in the mix (GH). On any other show, we’re cool with the teens being absent. On GH, we feel the exact opposite. We would like to see them more. So, this week, we loved seeing Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco (Finn Carr) in the mix. Rocco overheard Chase telling Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) that the police suspected Cyrus in Sam’s death. Rocco passed the news on to Danny. And then Danny raced Jason-style over to Charlie’s to confront the devil himself. Then, Jason (Steve Burton) had to protect Danny at all costs. It was a great way to get Danny and Rocco involved.

5. MISS: How has nobody guessed that “Rafe” isn’t Rafe (DAYS)? Granted, it’s tough to come to the conclusion that your almost husband has been replaced with a doofus doppelganger. However, the way “Rafe” (Galen Gering) acts is nothing like the way the Real Rafe (Galen Gering) would act. He’s smoking inside the precinct. The words coming out of his mouth don’t align with the man Jada (Elia Cantu) has known. Is there anybody dealing with this version that was around the last time Arnold took Rafe’s place?
4. HIT: Ridge finally shows up at Carter’s office (B&B). It’s been odd seeing Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Eric (John McCook) act passively during this entire coup fallout. Sure, they’re working with Justin (Aaron D. Spears) to find a legal way to get FC back. But they’re not passive people. They’re proactive like Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). So it was nice to finally see Ridge show up at Forrester to confront his “best friend,” Carter.
3. MISS: Kristina’s revenge beliefs (GH). We get that Kristina (Kate Mansi) is still grieving the loss of the baby she carried. But to vow to keep a mother away from her daughter in revenge? It’s a terrible take. Everybody knows that Ava (Maura West) has already lost a grown child. So, to attempt to keep away the one daughter she still has is cruel. And even Sonny (Maurice Benard) doesn’t agree with her. That’s telling.
2. HIT: Audra knows Holden (Y&R). We especially like this development for Audra (Zuleyka Silver). As much as we have adored seeing her softer side and witnessing the fleshing out of her character, we love that her edge is back. And now she’s keeping a huge secret from Nate (Sean Dominic). Frankly, that relationship was going too smoothly. It needs to be tested. Holden (Nathan Owens) is that test.

1. HIT: Body & Soul is over (DAYS). While an interesting experiment, the show moving production to Los Angeles is a good thing. As fun and meta as it was at times, it felt so separate from the rest of the show’s action.
Honorable Mentions
Y&R
MISS: Billy really is going after Victor (Eric Braeden), Adam (Mark Grossman), and Chancellor. We knew Billy wasn’t dropping his revenge. WE KNEW.
HIT: Brief Damian and Lily interaction. Damian (Jermaine Rivers) was on the verge of leaving Genoa City and going back to Los Angeles, and then he ran into Lily (Christel Khalil). It was a brief but intriguing moment.
B&B
MISS: The Forresters take all the credit for the jewelry line. Sure, Eric signed off on the jewelry line. But Carter called Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) out of the blue, got her to come in, and negotiated the deal with her. The jewelry line was his baby. The Forresters reluctantly went with it because it was a good idea. Carter should reap the rewards.
HIT: Carter’s conscience getting to him. It feels like Steffy’s idea for Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) to seduce Carter was shelved in favor of playing on Carter’s guilt and inherent goodness. That’s much better than hoping and praying Carter will cheat on Hope. Brooke is trying to do the same thing. And this new tactic seems to be working.

GH
HIT: Kai’s gentlemanly nudging Cyrus out the door at Charlie’s. Not sure why this classy moment impressed us so much. But it did. We didn’t expect that from Kai (Jens Austin Astrup). Let’s hope kicking Cyrus out doesn’t come back to bite him in the you-know-what.
MISS: Nina didn’t tell Willow about sleeping with Drew (Cameron Mathison). Nina (Cynthia Watros) was close to telling Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), but then her daughter distracted her with compliments. Nina didn’t want to mess up their relationship. We love Nina, but this was super disappointing.
DAYS
MISS: Alex can’t break up with Joy. Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) should have had the guts to break up with Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins), especially after she told him she had seen him kissing Stephanie (Abigail Klein). Even then, he couldn’t do it. Come on, Alex!
HIT: Xander and Philip living together. As shaky a truce as it is, it’s enjoyable when Xander (Paul Telfer) and Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) get along. Yes, there’s that big lie that will destroy any goodwill and brotherhood. But the Kiriakis men teaming up to go after the Dimeras is a goal we can get behind. And Philip and Xander living under one roof should provide plenty of drama and comedy.
