Here are the latest comings and goings casting news from all five daytime dramas for the week of May 11-15: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Beyond the Gates.

The Young and the Restless Casting

Lauren Koslow, who stars as Kate on Days of our Lives, is stepping in as Jill Abbott beginning June 25. However, the recast is only temporary. Actress Jess Walton, who has portrayed Jill since 1987 and recurs on the show, was unavailable to film scenes for an upcoming story arc. However, rest assured that Walton will be returning to the role she’s played for nearly 40 years.

Although her character recently left town and headed to New York to oversee Malcolm’s (Shemar Moore) treatment, Vivica Fox isn’t permanently off the canvas as Dr. Stephanie Simmons. The actress, who was recently revealed as Holden’s (Nathan Owens) mother, is back this week and will be featured in a meaty storyline. Fox spoke out about her surprise return to the soap after three decades.

Stacy Haiduk resurfaces as the devious Patty Williams. The character pleads her case to Jason Thompson’s Billy on Tuesday, May 12, while Peter Bergman’s Jack turns the tables on Patty on Thursday, May 14. 

Roger Howarth returns as the newly amnesiac Matt Clark. (Howarth shared his thoughts about his complex and diabolical alter ego.) His character crosses paths with Haiduk’s Patty and others this week. 

Lauralee Bell continues her latest stint as Christine Blair Romalotti. Eric Braden’s Victor recruits Christine in his plot against Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) on Monday, May 11.

Days of our Lives Casting

Nikki Crawford is featured prominently on DAYS this week as the new and newly risen from the dead Lexie Carver. She shares scenes with James Reynolds’ Abe, Dan Feuerriegel’s EJ, Tyler Joseph Andrews’ Theo, and other DiMeras as the reading of Stefano’s will continues on Monday, May 11. Thaao Penghlis returns as Tony DiMera on Monday, May 11. He interacts with Conner Floyd’s Chad, Cherie Jimenez’s Gabi and others. 

Richard Wharton gets more airtime as Wilhelm Rolf. The diabolical doctor interacts with Feuerriegel’s EJ and Stacy Haiduk’s Kristen on Monday, May 11. 

Hank Northrop is back as Liam Selejko. Vico Escorcia’s Ari opens up to his character on Tuesday, May 12. The actor got some memorable words of wisdom about acting from his late father, Wayne Northrop, who originated the role of Roman Brady on DAYS, that he reflects on to this day. 

Shi Ne Nielsen appears as Amy Choi. Sophia’s (Rachel Boyd) mom confronts Ashley Puzemis’ Holly on Thursday, May 14.

General Hospital Casting

A trio of the soap’s teen stars is back in full force on GH. Bluesy Burke resurfaces as Charlotte Cassadine on Monday, May 11, when Laura Wright’s Carly gives her cousin some advice. The young actress, who’s had an interesting rise to fame, also appears on Tuesday, May 12.

Finn Carr and Asher Antonyzyn also return as Rocco Falconeri and Danny Morgan. Look for the troubled Rocco to clash with Danny and Charlotte on Tuesday, May 12.

Andrew Hawkes is back as the unscrupulous Ross Cullum. The vile WSB double agent has a run-in with Carly on Friday, May 15. Hawkes spoke out about how his menacing GH character came to pass.

Paige Herschell continues her run as Jacinda Bracken. The actress revealed that she’s having the time of her life on the soap. Michael lets Jacinda in on his plan on Wednesday, May 13. 

The Bold and the Beautiful Casting

As the battle between Forrester Creations and Logan continues, Jennifer Gareis gets more airtime as Donna Logan Forrester. Her character urges Katie (Heather Tom) to put family before business on Monday, May 11. Gareis also appears on Tuesday, May 12. Check out some facts about the long-running Logan sister

Delon de Metz is back as Zende Forrester Dominguez. Look for Zende to grow frustrated with his role as a designer at his family’s fashion house on Friday, May 15. Did you know that de Metz has a connection to General Hospital star Sawandi Wilson, who plays Isaiah?  

Daniel Sean Smith appears as Jesse on Tuesday, May 12. The character is an employee at  Forrester Creations.
