Scott Reeves has many fans given the number of shows he’s been on, and today he has something even greater to celebrate: It’s his birthday!
The soap hopper was born on May 16, 1966 in Delight, AR and first came onto the soap scene in 1988 as Jake Hogansen on Days of Our Lives.
The role was brief, but Salem is where Reeves met the love of his life, Melissa (then Brennan, who plays Jennifer), who became his wife – Melissa Reeves.
After his time on DAYS came to an end, Reeves landed his landmark role of Ryan McNeil on The Young and the Restless. For many years, Ryan went back and forth between Victoria (then Heather Tom) and Nina (Tricia Cast).
Later, Ryan became involved with unbalanced Tricia Dennison, played by Sabryn Genet. Tricia aimed her gun at Victoria, but Ryan gallantly stepped in between Vicky and the bullet. His heroic act cost Ryan his life!
But the actor wasn’t done with soaps. He landed the role of Steven Webber on General Hospital — the grandson of original cast member John Bernadino (ex-Steve), and the son of Jeff Webber (Richard Dean Anderson).
During his time on the show, Steve helped Monica (Leslie Charleson) fake the death of A.J. (Billy Warlock, later, Sean Kanan).
Steve went off to jail in 2013 after confessing to the death of a patient that occurred in Memphis.
After GH wrapped, Reeves moved on to nighttime soaps and the role of Noel Laughlin on the ABC prime time drama, Nashville.
A return to Y&R doesn’t seem likely as Ryan was shot dead on screen, however there’s always the chance that Steve could come back to Port Charles once his prison sentence is served.
