As another series of wildfires caused by dry air and a changing planet blaze through the most populous American state, residents have been fleeing for their lives and soap star Tracey E. Bregman was one of them.
The actress lost her home to the flames, but thankfully, no lives were lost. Bregman, her family, and her pets were safe by the time the fire engulfed and destroyed her house.
Bregman claimed she was just numb from the horrific experience, but thanked God everyone was able to escape the house or the fire’s damage could have been much, much worse.
A total of 23 people have already died in one of these massive fires that have been spreading across major parts of California since late this past week, according to CNN.
The Woolsey Fire and Hill Fire, which are in the Los Angeles County region. CNN reports that The Woolsey Fire, the one most in the TV and film industry have to look out for, doubled in size overnight on Friday and winds could make conditions worse going into Sunday.
Last year, several soap stars had to evacuate their homes as a result of more fires like these, including General Hospital’s Finola Hughes and Kimberly McCullough.
Soap Hub sends our thoughts to Bregman and everyone affected by these fires, and also hopes the federal government steps in with as much aid as possible for the people of one of our united states (although the president threatened to withhold funds in a tweet).
