While most of the soap actors who have had impersonators online have been men, Tamara Braun has unfortunately fallen victim as well.
Soap Hub has done story after story about men like John McCook (Eric, The Bold and the Beautiful), soap vet Rick Hearst, Tyler Christopher (Stefan, Days of Our Lives; ex-Nikolas, General Hospital), Kristoff St. John (Neil, The Young and the Restless), and many others. But this time, Braun has had to warn her followers about an imposter.
“This is NOT my account. My account has a verified check mark and only one ‘n’ in my name. I had some people alert me to this and wanted to alert anyone else I could. Thanks! Hope you are having a good day!! #notme #fakeaccount #tamarabraun”
The actress, who currently plays Kim Nero on General Hospital (but used to play Carly), gave great advice: Do not trust any soap star’s Twitter or Instagram account if you don’t see the blue verified check by their name. Also, if they don’t have any followers or have only made one or two posts, that is another indicator.
The other thing to remember is that no soap star will send you a private message asking for money. If that happens, you should report them to whichever social media service you are using.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
