Our GH Take: Out the Window AGAIN?

Be careful if you fake your death via a window fall, because it might just happen for real. That’s exactly what happened to Nikolas today on “General Hospital” just after his family found him alive.

Sorry, Not Scared
We have to admit, we weren’t very scared of this new evil Cassadine and think Helena (Constance Towers) might just have him on the creep factor. Sure, he waved around a gun and shot Nik at point blank range. But after The Dark Prince’s original death in May, it lost all effect. Couple that with another actor playing the role, this story lost all its zing.

Maybe Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) just needed an accent. Maybe Laura (Genie Francis) didn’t have to look like she just saw a ghost. In the end, none of it seemed to work. We were promised a great summer adventure, but instead all we got was a motley crew of characters on a dark set.

While we think GH was going for irony as we watched Nikolas (Nick Stabile) fall backwards out the window and over the balcony, all it did was provide a few sighs and an eye roll. Ava (Maura West) seemed much too distressed over the possible death of a man she just met, as we wondered if a sleeping Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) heard all the commotion from their secret captivity room down the hall. Maybe Helena will creep out of a corner somewhere to add to the camp. At least this insane mystery might finally have a point.
