General Hospital‘s Carly has had a fascinating, dysfunctional relationship with Valentin ever since he’s been hiding in her house. We like it! But we also never for a moment thought that his dallying with Carly meant that Valentin had forgotten Anna. Valentin likes Carly. A lot. But he loves Anna. We don’t know why Carly was surprised to realize it. But we do wonder how far she’ll go to hold onto him.
Key Takeaways
- Valentin is still obsessed with Anna.
- Carly wants to keep Valentin.
- How far will Carly go to keep Anna away from Valentin?
The One That Got Away
Carly (Laura Wright, who explained Carly’s frustration) had Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) all to herself. He literally was a captive audience. He can’t go anywhere. So why shouldn’t he and Carly fall into each other’s arms?
That is, until Valentin found out that his beloved Anna (Finola Hughes) was being moved to a high-security hospital for the criminally insane in France. And then he wanted to charge off and rescue her. Carly was not pleased.
She phrased it as not wanting him to do something stupid and reckless. What she meant was, she didn’t want him to do something stupid and reckless — for someone who isn’t her.
Carly Knows Best
Carly believes that she knows what’s best for everyone. Her children. Her exes. Her grandchildren. And she isn’t shy about letting the lucky recipients know it.
So why would Carly hold back when it comes to enlightening Valentin about what’s best for him? Except that, unlike her children, her exes, and her grandchildren, Valentin didn’t want to hear it. He won’t let her talk him out of putting Anna first. So Carly is going to have to kick it up a notch.
Desperate Times Call For Desperate Measures
How far will Carly go to drive a wedge between Valentin and Anna? As far as… making her disappear? Carly is connected. Or, at least, Sonny (Maurice Benard) is. Between the two of them, surely they should be able to break Anna out of the hospital holding her… and put her somewhere Valentin will never find her. For his own good, of course.
