Will Brad And Lucas Survive The Truth About ‘Their’ Son On General Hospital?

Brad has been keeping a big secret on General Hospital about the true identity of his and husband Lucas’ adopted son, Wiley. If and when that lie is exposed, he stands to lose everything!

At the recent GH Fan Club Weekend, Ryan Carnes (Lucas) fielded a few questions from fans about his character learning the truth and what it will mean for everyone’s future!

One GH supporter addressed her question not to Carnes but to Lucas. (Hey, we’ve all been there, right?)

“I’ll respond to either,” a good-natured Carnes warmly responded to the GH devotee, who wanted to know how Lucas is going to handle the fact that his husband Brad (Parry Shen) has been lying to him for quite some time about the fact that their son’s biological parents are, in reality, Michael (Chad Duell) and Nelle (Chloe Lanier).

“That’s a great question,” Carnes said. “Part of [how he responds] is going to depend on what’s put on the page in front of me.”

The actor went on to speculate that given the level of betrayal, there are only so many ways in which Lucas will respond.

“How can he react? He loves Brad. He loves his husband. I think there’s going to be a lot of internal conflict, but at a certain point that behavior [of Brad’s] is unacceptable. I’m excited to see how it goes.”

In fact, Carnes has full confidence in the show’s creative team that the fallout will be must-see TV! “I’m excited to see what the writers and producers are going to come up with. Whatever it is, I’m sure it’s going to be dramatic so, hang on!”

One scenario will have Lucas and Brad (either as a couple or solo acts) going to court in order to keep their son if Michael decides he wants to take custody of the Quartermaine heir!
