Hands Down: Fans Say THIS Person Is the Better Cop on General Hospital (GH)!

With Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) out of the running, General Hospital fans were asked to choose who was the better cop: Dante or Nathan? Thousands of viewers played Human Resources for the PCPD.

Starting Strong
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was a dedicated, upstanding cop working undercover to bring down the mob.

When he finally had enough evidence to arrest Sonny (Maurice Benard) for murder, he identified himself as a police officer and showed Sonny his arrest warrant. At which point Sonny promptly shot Dante in the chest.

That’s when things took a turn. Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) confessed that Dane was Sonny’s son – the result of Olivia and Sonny’s teen-age affair (yeah, yeah, we thought her cousin Connie/Kate was the love of Sonny’s life… you know how Sonny hates to be alone).

Sonny promptly announced that he loved Dante. And Dante decided that crime… wasn’t so bad after all. He claimed Sonny’s shooting him was an accident, and refused to press charges. He remained a cop, but gave Sonny plenty of leeway.

Dante has, however, been involved in some non-Sonny law enforcement and, for that, 70% of you voted him the superior officer.

Westworld
Nathan (Ryan Paevey) also had a parental police conflict upon arriving in Port Charles. First, he learned that his mother, Madeline (Donna Mills), was responsible for his sister, Nina’s (Michelle Stafford), 20 year coma.

And then he discovered that Madeline wasn’t even really his mother. She was his aunt, Nina was his cousin, and Nathan’s real mother is Lisel Olbrecht (Kathleen Gatti). She’s a killer, too. Welcome to the family!

Nathan was pretty chill about it. He’d once shot his wife’s lover in a rage, so, you know, he gets it. For actually committing more crimes than he’s solved, 30% of fans awarded Nathan the runner up prize.
