While the Cat’s Away: Will Carly Stray On General Hospital?

Sonny is… somewhere, on General Hospital. He went into the water and nobody in Port Charles has heard from him since. All we know is he’s alive, bloody, and wearing a bandanna around his memory-addled head.

But his wife, Carly (Laura Wright), and beloved hitman, Jason (Steve Burton), don’t know that. They fear Sonny (Maurice Benard) might be dead. And you know soap characters usually have only one way of processing their grief, whether it’s death, a loved one’s betrayal, or a paper cut. Will Carly stray while Sonny’s away? Here’s what fans expect to happen:

It came down to the wire, but a little over 50% of you figured, oh, yeah, she sure will. Carly is bad at being alone. She’s bad at being sad. Remember how she and Sonny had sex in their limo after Michael was shot in the head and ended up in a coma – even though Carly was married to Jax (Ingo Rademacher) at the time? Remember how she had sex with Sonny the first time after Jason rejected her?

Well, now Sonny is the one presumed dead. And Jason and Jax are just kinda sitting around. They don’t have much else going on. Carly will definitely need some comforting. And if not from those two, there’s always Brando (Johnny Wactor)…. Milo… All we’re saying is that Carly has lots of options. And a history of acting on them.

Absolutely not, slightly less than 50% of the viewers strongly disagreed. Carly is Sonny’s ride-or-die chick. She is loyal – and faithful – to him, dead or alive. In fact, if he really is dead, she just might chuck the high life once and for all and go live like a nun. Who could move onto any other man once you’ve had the god that is Sonny?
