Where’s Kevin Collins? Maybe Celebrating 25 Years On General Hospital

While Ryan may have arrived on the Port Charles scene first, it’s been exactly 25 years since General Hospital fans first met his twin brother, Kevin.

It was on December 3, 1993, that Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) showed up where Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Mac (John J. York) were, scaring the heck out of Felicia and getting punched in the face by an angry Mac (see below). Both thought that he was Ryan, the man who had been tormenting Felicia.

But in fact, he was Ryan’s nice twin, Kevin, which they eventually figured out and accepted. Kevin had come to town to try to help his brother, who was in a mental institution. Sadly, Ryan wasn’t one for being rehabilitated and Kevin wasn’t able to help him.

Ryan was eventually “killed” but earlier this year we learned that just wasn’t so. Once again, Kevin foolishly thought he could rehabilitate his brother and now is stuck in Ferncliff, completely drugged up while his brother takes a wrecking ball to his perfect life.

In between Ryan’s stints in the psych ward, Kevin has managed to live a rather full life. Along the way, he fell in love with Eve Lambert (ex-Julie Pinson), Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), and later he did the same with Laura (Genie Francis).

General Hospital isn’t Lindstrom’s first foray into daytime. His first job on soaps was as Brady on the soap Rituals, which was quickly followed by a role on Santa Barbara as Mark. He also played Kevin on Port Charles and during his time away from the show, he played Craig on As the World Turns.
