When last we checked in with General Hospital’s Holly, she was banging on a door and screaming to be let out of her latest prison. Robert, meanwhile, was sobbing into his beer over his lost love.

Then he went on a European jaunt with Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), helped Anna deal with Peter (Wes Ramsey), and, well, you know, what with one thing and another, Holly seems to have fallen off his radar. Oh, well, no use crying over dead wives. It’s not like any of the women Robert (Tristan Rogers) has ever been married to have returned from the dead before. More than once.
Who?
The fans, on the other hand, are still wondering who it is that’s holding Holly (Emma Samms) hostage. The only clues we have are that they’re vaguely European. Could those mobsters be connected to Port Charles’ own Cyrus (Jeff Kober)? Maybe not. Holly was a con artist in Europe for years. We’re sure she’s pissed off some Europeans.
Why?
So our options are… angry Europeans. Or maybe enemies of Ethan? Enemies of Robert? Enemies of the WSB and Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) father, Frisco Jones (Jack Wagner)? Enemies of Holly’s family, who also pissed off a lot of Europeans during their con artist days?
Wild Speculation
In the 40+ years, this writer has been watching the show, GH has only surprised twice. The first time was when the DVX mole turned out to be Grant Andrews (played by Brian Patrick Clarke). And the second time was when the “Snowman” who kidnapped Anna (Finola Hughes) turned out to be Grant Putnam (also played by Brian Patrick Clarke).
So my theory is that Holly is being held by a Grant. Any Grant. Maybe a heretofore unknown Grant. Who is played by Brian Patrick Clarke. He is getting revenge on Holly for that time she helped bring down the DVX (or his marriage to her pal, Celia). He is getting revenge on Robert by kidnapping another of his wives.
It doesn’t matter. Surprise me. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
