It can’t be a coincidence that General Hospital chose to cast a familiar face in the role of Josslyn’s actual kidney donor.
Chloe Lanier was so memorable as a young Pat Spencer in 2015 that she now has a contract role as a whole new character in 2016. Of course, that character has a Spencer connection as Port Charles newcomer Nelle is the same blood type as Josslyn Jacks, daughter of Carly, and granddaughter of Bobbie Spencer.
Nelle arrived in town the night of Bobbie’s birthday party, but somehow Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) didn’t spot her in the exact same house. That makes us think GH is trying to build up a reveal in which Bobbie will recognize the face of the big sister who put her on a bus to Florida all those years ago.
The young woman certainly seems interested in everything Carly (Laura Wright) and almost reminds us of Carly when she first arrived in town. Sure, she seems sweet now, but so was Carly.
The way she looked at Carly kissing Sonny (Maurice Benard) today reminded us of the way Mrs. Corinthos looked at Bobbie and Tony all those years ago. Could Carly have had a child back in Florida before she ever arrived in PC? Remember, Nelle arrived from Georgia, only one state away from where Carly and Bobbie grew up.
Of course, Jax also seems to know more about the young woman than he’s letting on. Ingo Rademacher makes another appearance as Josslyn’s dad soon, so more may be revealed.
Perhaps Nelle is related to Jax and not Carly, paving the way for a Nelle and Michael romance. That would mean casting the same actress who played Pat has nothing to do with this scenario, which is why we think the Carly’s kid backstory works better.
Remember, this is all speculation, but we’re willing to bet Miss Nelle has a connection on the PC canvas somewhere and somehow.
