When he first showed up on General Hospital (GH), “Jake Doe” had no clue who he really was. Then, Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), Carly (Laura Wright), and Sonny (Maurice Benard) convinced him he was their beloved Jason, back from the dead.
Jake went away, and moved into Jason’s life, which included bonding with his son, Jake, and remarrying Sam (Kelly Monaco) to form a family with their son, Danny, and, eventually, daughter Scout.
But then the real Jason (Steve Burton) returned, and Billy Miller got his third name – Drew. OK, he’s Drew now.
Sam chose to stay with Drew instead of returning to Jason. But then, she confessed her love to Jason. So Drew decided to be the one to walk out the door. Did he make the right choice? Here’s what over 9,000 Monday morning quarterbacks had to say about it:
If Sam doesn’t want him, then Drew shouldn’t want her either, approve 83% of you.
A man has got to have his pride. Sure, it won’t keep him warm at night, but, you know… pride. Besides, it’s not like Drew doesn’t have any other options.
There’s Liz, whose wedding to Franco (Roger Howarth) got kiboshed – even before the earthquake sent a sign from God even Liz couldn’t ignore. (Maybe.) They’ve bonded over Jake before. They can do it again.
And don’t forget Kim (Tamra Braun). She and Drew also share a son, Oscar (Garren Stitt). Their relationship never got a fair shake the first time around. Take Two? And Sam who?
Love the One You’re With
Till death do you part, that’s what the marriage vows say, remind a minority 16%. Sam may sob that she loves Jason, but she’s your wife, Drew. And possession is 9/10th of the law. Sam has changed her mind before. Odds are she’ll do it again. Just wait it out and keep your family intact.
