Wes Ramsey started his General Hospital journey as Peter August two years ago and since that time, audiences learned he is the son of the most hated man in Port Charles as he romanced one of the town’s most beloved heroines — recently widowed Maxie Jones.
Wes Ramsey Marks Anniversary
The handsome actor celebrated his two-year anniversary with GH with an Instagram post, sharing how he feels about this particular milestone.
A Special Day
“Two Years Ago (yesterday) I shot my first day arriving in Port Charles and have been on a truly great ride ever since. Thank You to all the fans for welcoming me, warming up to me, and even just putting up with me!” Ramsey wrote.
“Peter August is one of my favorite characters I’ve ever had the pleasure of bringing to life and I’m so grateful every day to bring these stories into reality. (It is now the longest job I’ve ever had in my 20 professional years as an actor.) So, Cheers to GH! Here’s to ‘more to come!’ #GH #gratefulman #happyartist #whendreamscometrue”
Stuff of Legends
Wes Ramsey understands how lucky he is to have this character who is steeped in General Hospital history — considering he is the son of one of the vilest villains ever to grace Port Charles — Caesar Faison, played by the great Anders Hove. Not only that, he gets to claim (for now) the legendary Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) as his mother!
Of course, fans still suspect that it’s Anna’s twin, Alex (also played by Hughes), who had the liaison with Faison to produce the troubled man who has become everything to Maxie (Kirsten Storms), his own late brother Nathan’s widow.
While it seems Maxie is doomed to heartbreak, only time will tell. Guess we’ll just have to tune in to find out. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
