This guy who looks like Original Recipe Jason is on a slow boat to New York and things could get boring if he could only talk to himself. And, since this Jason never has much to say on General Hospital (GH), it’s only fitting he has a companion to fill the silence.
Why GH picked a random one-off (well, now two-off) character to make the journey with this Jason (Steve Burton), we’re still not sure. So, we asked what you think of the new (likely short-lived) bromance between Huxley (Trent Dawson) and who we think is Stone Cold.
It seems 54% of you are happy to have Huxley on board, as he adds humor to the situation. We laughed as he explained the news of the world to this Jason (leaving out a big fact about the U.S.) and we’re also glad he doesn’t leave the ‘Patient 6’ scenes on mute.
The British accent and non-stop talk keep you interested, and you wonder if Huxley will run into his old “pal” Ava once he makes it to N.Y. Will he stick around for a while, or was this just a stunt to give Jason someone to sometimes talk to and often listen to?
Then, there is the 46% of you who do not get this plot at all. Why is Huxley there and why Huxley?
Why couldn’t Ava (Maura West), Griffin (Matt Cohen), and this Jason escape together so we could watch the three bond as they all headed home? At least these are three actors and characters we’re invested in and it would move their story forward.
Hey, at least Ava mentioned Huxley just before we saw him, so we were very conveniently reminded he exists before he became the literal talk of this Jason’s journey home.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
