Vinessa Antoine General Hospital
It was a bittersweet birthday for General Hospital (GH) star Vinessa Antoine this past weekend as fans wished her the happiest of days – and the best of luck.
Antoine was born July 21, 1983, in Toronto, Canada, which means she turned 35-years-old on Saturday.
The actress, who is dating co-star Anthony Montgomery, and also raising two young children, recently announced she’s leaving GH to return to her native Canada and star in the primetime series, Diggstown.
On Saturday evening, she tweeted her thanks for so many birthday wishes and for the kindness of fans who want to see her soar in her next endeavor.
She received an especially loving tweet from Montgomery, who plays Dr. Andre Maddox on the soap.
Antoine started her performing career as a dancer and by age 18, she left Toronto to perform with the famed Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She also made a name for herself on Canadian television before taking on the role of Jordan Ashford on GH four years ago.
