VIDEO FLASHBACK: Monica and Lesley Reunite… And Fight It Out

There was once a time on General Hospital (GH) when fights between Lesley and Monica were everything!

While most current viewers only know Lesley (Denise Alexander)–if they know her at all–as Laura’s (Genie Francis) mother, Lesley used to be the heroine of Port Charles. Monica (Leslie Charleson) was the femme fatale, luring Lesley’s husband Rick (Chris Robinson) into her bed.

Sure, it was a little more complicated than that, but to watch these two women battle it out both in the hospital and about their love lives was always a treat. Back in 2013, the two reunited — and all of the stuff they used to fight about came bubbling to the surface.

The great thing about watching their reunion for those of us who watched that far back (ahem), was that the writers didn’t make any of it up — we saw it all play out. The women share a rich history and this reunion was everything a fan could hope to see.

Special insider note: In the video clip below, you’ll see Monica giving Lesley a hard time, calling her Lester. It just so happens to be the nickname of Monica’s portrayer, whose real name of course is also Leslie — with just a different spelling.
