Vanessa Marcil Reveals Son Will Replace Late BFF On Podcast

It has been over a month since former General Hospital star, Vanessa Marcil, lost her best friend — fellow GH co-star Suzanne Whang, who had played Brenda’s wedding planner Carol Chang. But she wasn’t just her BFF — Whang also co-hosted a podcast with Marcil, who has been taking a break from the project. Now she has news about it.

The two pals had a podcast they called LoveStop which they used to do together and in the last one, a gravely ill Whang talked about death and both women were very open about things that were going on in their lives. But would Marcil want to continue without her friend? The actress let her followers on Instagram know her plan.

“Feeling the reality of the loss of my best friend today…. She wanted her godson @kassius_marcil_green to carry on our podcast @lovestopvmsw with me so we will be doing that as soon as our hearts can take it. #BunnyBunny,” wrote Marcil in the caption alongside a picture of the two friends laughing.

Always With Her

The bond between these two women was so strong that Marcil felt her late friend’s presence outside her home, which she spoke about in a powerful Instagram post a few weeks ago. In it, Marcil had asked for a sign from her friend — and she got it.

“All of the lights suddenly turned on inside the new brass fixtures. Once I shook myself out of disbelief I took this video of the lights and yes that’s her flying through the video. She was always the ham in our relationship & never passed up an opportunity to be on camera. This is the very first time I’ve ever seen these lights lit. Bunny you are such an overachieving as%#$le… 🐰🐰”

It will be interesting to see how the tone of the show changes once Marcil’s son Kassius (Brian Austin Green is his dad) becomes her co-host but it’s a safe bet it will be a must for any fan of the talented actress. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
