Just about a year ago, he was holding some of your favorite characters hostage on Cassadine island, seemed to murder Nikolas in cold blood, and shot Kevin for seemingly no reason on General Hospital (GH).
However, the writers seemed to forget all about Valentin’s auspicious beginning on the soap and have made him into a character with flaws, a heart, and–can you believe it–somewhat sympathetic.
Soap Hub asked if you think Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) has been treated unfairly, and it seems this character gamble may be paying off.
Let Our Valentin Go
Out of about 3,500 votes, a majority of you, 56% to be exact, say Valentin has gotten the raw end of the stick. Sure, we all saw him shoot Nikolas (Nick Stabile) and watched him fly out the window to his alleged death.
The thing if, many of you don’t think Nikolas is dead at all, and some even think it was a ploy set up by Valentin and Nik together. In the end, that makes Valentin not a murderer so now you can like him.
And, after watching him serenade Nina (Michelle Stafford) at The Nurses’ Ball and then say his tearful goodbye to Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez), you realize there’s a lot to like.
Lock Him Up!
Still, there are 44% of you who remember the evil Valentin from last summer, do not think Nikolas colluded with him to fake his own death (twice in two months), and will always recall Helena fearing him as the most evil Cassadine of them all. How can you want someone like that treated fairly?
