Word spread through the soap world like wildfire yesterday that Tyler Christopher would not be returning to General Hospital after all.
The actor allegedly took a temporary break in May and was quickly replaced by Nick Stabile, who gave us Nikolas’s second “fall” out the window in a two-month period. In August, Christopher announced he’d return to the set this month, but contract negotiations reportedly fell apart.
Last night, Christopher took to social media and tweeted a short farewell and thank you to his loyal fans. The actor originated the role of Nikolas in 1996 and played the role off and on for two decades. He won his first enemy as the Cassadine prince this past May.
Thank u all for your kind words. You’re the best fans in the world. I will miss u! #whatarun
