Twisted In Tots: Is A Baby Switch Coming To General Hospital (GH)?

On General Hospital (GH), Maxie gave birth to her late husband’s baby on the side of the road today.

Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is pregnant with Michael’s (Chad Duell) baby and eagerly awaiting its birth as a way to tie Michael to her forever, and continue to piss off his mother, Carly (Laura Wright).

Plus, Lucas (Ryan Carnes) and Brad (Parry Shen) are in the process of adopting a baby, albeit primarily off-screen.

Thanks to a fight with Carly, Nelle took the prerequisite pregnant woman tumble down the stairs, and she remains in the hospital. With both Nelle and Maxie in peril, which baby will end up with which set of parents? Here’s how over 10,000 fans imagine this playing out:

It’s inevitable, 71% of you sigh, there’s a baby switch a-coming! The only question is who, how, and why? Will Nelle substitute Maxie’s living baby for her dead one? Will Maxie (Kirsten Storms) lose her child and, unable to face another tragedy, grab Nelle’s?

(Or will one of Nathan’s less than law-abiding relatives do this for her? How about Peter, who already feels guilty enough about Nathan’s death. He doesn’t want to see Maxie mourning his child, too!)

Or could Carly, in her ongoing quest to keep her grandchild from growing up with Nelle for a mother pull a switch-a-roo of her own, and see that Nelle’s baby ends up with Carly’s brother, Lucas, where she can keep an eye on the tot…and revel in Nelle’s grief as an added bonus.
