TWINS??? Or Is Tamara Braun Playing Nelle’s Mom On General Hospital?

The news that Tamara Braun is returning to General Hospital (GH) NOT as Carly, but as someone completely new got the wheels turning in Soap Hub’s head, and we think we might be onto something.

On Wednesday night, Chloe Lanier tweeted a photo of her and Braun and our eyes did quite the double take at the resemblance between the two actresses. Immediately, our minds said–“NELLE’S MOM!”

After all, Lanier made a point of tweeting the pic, congratulating the actress now that the news is out, AND noted how much they look alike.

Giving Nelle a mother would certainly add dimension to a character who is just NOT working with fans at all. While GH tries to make us like Michael and Nelle as a couple, they just can’t seem to pull it off with the majority of viewers.

The two actors in the roles are extremely talented, but together, well, most don’t see a spark. We know both can be interesting individually, and giving Nelle a mother would help us to know more of her backstory–and even pit Carly against Carly, meaning Laura Wright and Braun would certainly have quite a few scenes together.

Of course, another way to pit Carly against Carly is to have Braun’s new character turn out to be Oscar’s mother, but we think our first theory is more on the money. Stay tuned cause time will tell…
