General Hospital’s Carly has never been very good at living without a man on General Hospital. She’d barely arrived in town before she and Jason hit the pool table. Then she went after Tony (Brad Maule). A one-night stand with AJ led to Michael (Chad Duell), which led, indirectly to the dysfunctional disaster that was Carly and Sonny.
General Hospital Polling
Of course, due to it being a dysfunctional disaster, Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) ended up on the outs… a lot. That’s where Jax (Ingo Rademacher) stepped in. And when he wasn’t available, there was Lorenzo. And Franco (Roger Howarth). And a host of others too unimportant to remember.
Our point is, Carly has been alone for weeks now. Should she start looking around for replacements? What almost 2,000 of you had to say about the possibility:
Too Soon
A landslide 92% of the audience believe Carly should be keeping the home fires burning for Sonny. Their love is a love so strong that it has beaten death multiple times. Why shouldn’t this be yet another one of them? Especially since we know Smike is still with us? Stay faithful, Carly! Sonny is worth it!
Right Man
A much smaller 4% are only willing to accept Carly moving on if the man is someone truly extraordinary. We’re not sure who would fit that definition for you, but we know of only one man who fits that definition for Carly, and that’s Jason (Steve Burton). Can you imagine Sonny’s reaction when he returns?
Dead and Buried
And then there are the 4% who don’t care who it is. Carly is entitled. She thinks Sonny is dead, which means she doesn’t owe him any loyalty. Go out and have a good time. When Sonny comes back, you can deal with the inevitable barware tossing. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
