Actress Tonja Walker may be done shooting her short-term return to General Hospital, but that doesn’t mean she’s ready to say goodbye to Olivia.
The actress was part of the #AskGH online question and answer session on Twitter Tuesday, and one thing was for certain — she has thoroughly enjoyed her reign as the mayor of Crazy Town.
It’s obvious she had a hoot of a time playing Olivia in all of her divine madness as much as fans have enjoyed the jolt of adrenaline she has brought to the show during her all-too-brief return.
The Tweetfest was well-timed, as the show was airing live on the East Coast, with Olivia seemingly at Carly’s mercy. Walker cracked fun while watching the show too.
While extremely complimentary to the show’s tremendous cast and executive producer Frank Valentini, she acknowledged that the short visit didn’t allow for everything to be covered that the fans were waiting for, like a heart-to-heart discussion with her younger sister, Ava (Maura West) — a confrontation many were anxious to enjoy.
The future and all its potential was definitely on the actress’s mind, as well as fans’. She shared a bit of news that there’s good reason to hope this isn’t the last we’ll see of Olivia.
But perhaps the best news for One Life to Live fans of the actress was this tidbit when asked if she ran into former castmate Hillary B. Smith (Nora) on the set as the pair had a fun rivalry back in the day.
This should be fun! Could there be a wink of recognition if she runs past Nora? This also opens the door to the question — what about Alex? If Walker doesn’t return as Olivia, what about as lookalike Alex Olanov? Walker seemed to definitely be on board for that option too.
