Do Some Things Catch On? Joining the General Hospital ‘Grava’ Train?

A priest and a murdering mafia princess? That’s what General Hospital (GH) has asked fans to buy into.

Yes, soaps have done the fallen priest story before, but typically the woman the priest gives it all up for is not some vicious woman who’s killed in cold blood and done everything else imaginable just to benefit herself. She has to have some redeeming qualities, right?

So, GH decided to give Ava (Maura West) burn scars and remorse to make her more of a match for Griffin (Matt Cohen), who seems to want to fix broken souls–one reason he doubles as a doctor.

However, Ava is almost cured with a few scars left on her face and a way out if a doctor would perform a final surgery using Dr. Klein’s notes. So, Soap Hub asked if you think Griffin and Ava have any longevity or if he will no longer want Ava once she’s whole (and likely causing trouble again).

True Love!
After 7,000 of you voted, it seems only 37% think these two stand a chance. You think they’re a case of opposites attract and are perfect for one another. They even talk to each other and go out to eat, so it’s not all about sex, right?

Just Not Cuttin’ It!
WRONG, say another 63% of you who think this is just a passing fling with no chance for true love and romance. After all, Ava got those burns after Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) learned she switched their son’s bipolar meds, which led to his breakdown and alleged death.

On top of that, she slept with that son (as well as Sonny in a crypt, producing Avery)–while he was her daughter’s boyfriend. When she faked her death and returned as Denise DeMuccio, she did it again (and, of course, Morgan couldn’t figure out she was Ava, but that’s a story for another time).

Griffin is sure to have all that weighing on his conscience eventually, you feel, and will move on to someone a little more his speed.
