General Hospital’s Emma Scorpio-Drake was born in 2008. That means she just turned 12 in November. Emma used to be the same age as Cameron (William Lipton) and Joss (Eden McCoy). They’re in high school now and applying to colleges.

So, by Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome (SORAS) rules, Emma should be, too. Is now the best time to bring her back to Port Charles? What over 2,000 fans told us they’d like to see:
Original Recipe
A majority 80% of the audience voted an enthusiastic YES – with a caveat. No recasts. You want Emma, and you want her played by the little girl you watched grow up on your screens, Brooklyn Rae Silzer. Brooklyn is two years older than Emma, so she’s about to turn 15 in April.
That’s plenty old enough to be a soap opera teen. (Though most soap opera 15-year-olds are played by college graduates.) Emma can come to town to live with Grandma Anna (Finola Hughes) because… uh… her parents, Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and Patrick (Jason Thompson) are… uh… moving to the rain forest to do research on… uh… disease.
Whatever. Get the girl to Port Charles, pronto, and have her check out how hot her childhood friend, Cam, is these days. Emma needs a boyfriend and Cam needs a girlfriend, right?
No Room At the Inn
A smaller 20% of you aren’t feeling a return. The canvas is already overrun with teens and, unlike Emma, Trina (Sydney Mikayla) isn’t related to nearly as many people. We need fresh blood, not someone with so many cousins that their romantic prospects are limited.
Besides, Anna is still young and vital. We don’t need her slotted into the grandma to a teenager role. Before you know it, she’ll be wrongly sidelined like Monica (Leslie Charleson) and Bobbie (Jaclyn Zeman), and she deserves more. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
