Take That, Griffin! Over The Head And In The Bed On General Hospital

Ava Jerome was just trying to change and with an ex-priest falling for her on General Hospital, she thought she had it made. But then, he cheated on her — with her daughter — and lied about it for months.

Forget change, Ava (Maura West) said. She was ready to go back to her old vengeful self who entertains us all. Plus, she had an alleged psychiatrist telling her there’s nothing wrong with a little naughty here and there… for a good cause.

So, Ava went totally soap cliché, conked Griffin over the head, drugged Sasha, got them naked, stuck them in bed together, and lured Kiki to the scene.

But watching it happen made us think of one thing. Did Ava do this just for the satisfaction of whacking Dr. Munroe over the head with a wine bottle?

More than 7,000 of you weighed in on this one.

RELEASE!
YES! It was a cathartic experience for wronged Ava, say 71% of you. She needed that release, that pleasure in just watching him fall down helpless.

Sure, maybe Griffin (Matt Cohen) could have developed a brain bleed, as Kiki (Hayley Erin) pointed out, but come on! People get whacked upside the head on soaps all the time. They don’t typically get brain bleeds from it.

(Well, except Kayla on Days of Our Lives, but that’s a whole other story… and a whole other soap.)

REVENGE!
Then, there is 29% of you who feel this was all in a day’s work for Ava. She needed to hurt Kiki and if whacking Griffin over the head was what she had to do, then it was a means to an end for her.

But come on, you saw that look of satisfaction on her face the moment she did it… until, of course, her plan fell apart in just three commercial breaks.

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
