With all the real life drama in the world overshadowing reel life drama lately, fictional television can become humdrum. However, today General Hospital served up soaps just right to end a relatively uneventful February.
First, we spent half the show wondering if Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam’s baby would live. The pair have not had a successful birth yet, so we thought it was very possible they’d follow their own trend.
Sam’s first baby was stillborn and when Danny was born, they thought he died. When Sam (Kelly Monaco) said she felt something was wrong right before her final pushes, we thought–uh-oh, don’t do this again.
Thankfully, Baby Girl (Scout?) Morgan started breathing, but then Sam passed out. Frankly, we’re not too worried about Sam considering we know Kelly Monaco isn’t going anywhere.
Then, somehow, the hospital was saved–AGAIN! We already suffered through it closing its doors late last year, but then Olivia (Tonja Walker) set her sights on it to build some condos (okay, we do not understand that part yet) and Finn of all people had to save the day. Does this mean his little drug addict arc is over? We sure do hope so.
And of course, all hell broke loose (or should we say all Nelle broke loose?) when Carly (Laura Wright) finally found a flash drive that had real evidence. (The flash drive of Ava confessing to killing Connie is somehow still out there.)
She now thinks she knows that Sonny (Maurice Benard) slept with Nelle (Chloe Lanier), but even Sonny thinks he knows he slept with Nelle, so maybe all Nelle didn’t break loose–just this tiny aspect alerting Carly that her assistant is not who she seemed.
Carly is vowing revenge and Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) thinks she uncovered all, but we STILL don’t know Nelle’s agenda. If that’s left for the next sweeps period, it’s going to be a long, long wait till May.
