Strong Women Take Charge on GH – But Not Always For the Best

On today’s General Hospital, the women of Port Charles were taking none of what was being dished out at them – and taking charge.

Of course, this didn’t always amount to a good thing, but it did keep life interesting. For some, it was about not letting anyone control them. For another, well, she may be under someone else’s control, but her plan to take charge came off flawlessly – or so it seems.

A Shocking Development
Grab the smelling salts, because Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) was actually likable today as she gave Andre (Anthony Montgomery) a piece of her mind. How dare he answer her phone and not give her the message? (Psst…we don’t expect this likability to last.)

His jealousy over Curtis (Donnell Turner) has brought out an unattractive and controlling side of him that wasn’t obvious in the past. Sure, he may have reason to be jealous, but that’s no way to go about icing the competition and it completely backfired on him.

Of course, when she finds out what her mother was really up to… let’s just hope Jason (Billy Miller) is there to catch her in case she faints.

Standing Her Ground
Speaking of her mother, Drunk Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) may have mowed down her ex-husband by accident, but she wasn’t about to let her other ex-husband Jax (Ingo Rademacher) push her to do anything about it before she’s ready.

Alexis insisted she wanted a day to tell her children before entering rehab, and despite appearing to look like an…continue reading on the next page —>

Alexis insisted she wanted a day to tell her children before entering rehab, and despite appearing to look like an emotional mess, she stood up to Jax and got what she wanted.

Doing the Deed
Okay, not really THAT deed, but Carly-sycophant Nelle (Chloe Lanier) obviously had a plan and the strength to see it through – even if she did shed a few tears.

She managed to drug an unsuspecting Sonny, undress him, and crawl into bed next to him without a hitch. It’s hard to call her strong though – since we don’t know if this was her plan or if she’s simply someone else’s puppet.

Either way, she and the other women of Port Charles certainly got what they wanted today.
