There are some actors who soap fans never forget–especially when they’ve been in the same role for decades and seem to become a part of the family. Steve Burton is one of those stars, but with someone else playing Jason Morgan, is he welcome back on the General Hospital (GH) canvas?
That’s just what Soap Hub wanted to know when we asked if you’re totally ready for Burton’s return to the soap he called home from 1991-2012.
BRING BACK BURTON NOW!
Out of about 7,000 votes, 64% say you can’t wait and you’ll take Burton back in Port Charles no matter who he ends up playing.
After all, he basically played two completely different characters during his first run on the soap. First, he was Jason Quartermaine, the kind, yet often bland, Q son.
After a car accident caused by his drunk brother, brain damage helped him morph into Jason Morgan, who soon became a hitman and mob enforcer–not exactly the doctor his parents dreamed of.
Billy Miller somehow plays a hybrid of those two characters, with traits of both Jasons popping out naturally. For fans of both Steve Burton incarnations of Jason, it’s a real treat, but GH is still mum on whether Miller’s character is really Jason after all.
Can We Keep This Jasam?
The other 36% are over it. You want one Jason and would prefer to stick with the one you’ve grown attached to over the past three years.
You’re sick of twins and lookalikes and feel GH will have cheated you if it turns out NuJasam isn’t any sort of Jasam after all.
