On General Hospital, how did Trina, the young adult, turn out to be the least dramatic member of her family? Her chaotic family drama takes center stage, according to spoilers for the Wednesday, May 27 episode.

Key Takeaways

  • Trina visits Curtis and Portia as their ongoing drama threatens to pull the family apart.
  • Kai delivers troubling news to Trina while Ric checks in on a shaken Elizabeth.
  • Gio leans on Emma as the fallout from Rocco running off continues to spread.
  • Sonny offers words of caution to someone in need.

Trina Could Be the Voice of Reason

What does it say about a family when the voice of reason may be the young adult daughter who’s hiding the fact that she and her boyfriend know who shot Drew (Cameron Mathison)? And they were hiding out in his bedroom at the precise time that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) shot him? But this is where we are.

Trina’s mom is currently pregnant with her ex’s baby. And Trina’s dad recently punched out his ex’s boyfriend. But Curtis (Donnell Turner) didn’t only cause a black eye. Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) hurt his hand in the process, an injury that may change his life forever. He may never be able to operate again. And his skills are sorely needed in Port Charles.

Trina (Tabyana Ali) has been out of the loop for much of this drama. She has been focusing on her upcoming showcase, which Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) set up. But on Wednesday, she must decide to get to the bottom of this madness. She visits both of her parents — Curtis and Portia (Brook Kerr). And in GH’s weekly video preview, she asks her dad how much trouble he is in. She has to wonder if there is any way for her parents to make peace. Trina has a lot of work to do.

Bad News Travels to Trina

Additionally, visiting her parents isn’t the only thing on Trina’s plate. Kai (Jens Astrup Austin) delivers bad news to her. What if he tells her about Jack’s current health, which sounds a lot like what Drew is experiencing? It might be time for Trina and Kai to figure out what’s going on in that house. Maybe they should also come clean about their own secrets sooner rather than later.

Ric Pays a Visit to Elizabeth

Ric (Rick Hearst) checks in on Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). Their relationship is going swimmingly. They just spent the weekend together. But since then, Elizabeth has had a rough go. It’s probably a good thing that Ric checks in because he’ll learn about her confrontation with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), who manhandled Elizabeth and locked her in a closet so she could make her getaway.

Thankfully, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) discovered her when he paid a visit to Britt’s office. But Elizabeth was a little shaken. Ric has the opportunity here to comfort Liz. He can also find out why Britt would do what she did to Elizabeth. It might be good for him and Sonny (Maurice Benard) to know.

Sonny’s Wise Words

While Ric pays Liz a visit, Sonny offers words of caution. This could be about talking to Dante or someone connected to Rocco (Finn Carr, who explains why Rocco is more stressed than ever), who wants to unleash holy hell to find him. He’s on the run with Britt, and that’s not an ideal situation for anyone left behind in Port Charles. If it doesn’t involve Rocco, maybe it’s about getting to Sidwell (Carlo Rota). That’s an operation that needs to be dealt with delicately.

Emma and Gio Continue to Support Each Other

Finally, Emma (Braedyn Bruner) consoles Gio (Giovanni Mazza). This is an interesting teaser because it wasn’t that long ago that Gio was consoling and supporting Emma after she learned more bad news about her grandmother, Anna (Finola Hughes).

This week, it’s Gio who needs the comfort and support from his girlfriend. Even though his relationship with Dante is on better footing than it has ever been before, he tanked his relationship with Rocco. The teen didn’t appreciate Gio telling their dad about their recent conversation. He felt betrayed that Gio didn’t keep it to himself, and now Rocco has left town and is on the run. Gio has to be worried.
