General Hospital spoilers for the week of January 13-17, 2025 tease a family up in flames after Michael’s horrific accident.

When Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) received divorce papers while in DC, she ran to Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) room and he tried reassuring her that Michael (Chad Duell) wouldn’t take her kids from her. Back in Port Charles, Michael updated Sonny (Maurice Benard) on the status of his marriage. After Carly (Laura Wright) went venting to Jason (Steve Burton) about Willow’s betrayal, he went to Sonny’s penthouse to talk business. The two stepped in the hallway while a bomb was dropped into the penthouse, setting it ablaze with Michael inside. Trina (Tabyana Ali) helped Josslyn (Eden McCoy) pack up Dex’s (ex-Evan Hofer) things and Joss later found a secret gun in his drawer. When Brad (Parry Shen) ran into Cyrus (Jeff Kober) at GH, he tore into him over what he did to Britt (ex-Kelly Thiebaud). Lucas (Van Hansis) helped calm him down while Portia (Brook Kerr) banned Byrus from the hospital. Lucy (Lynn Herring) welcomed Sidwell (Carlo Rota) to his new home of Wyndemere.

After Jason put out the flames on Michael, he was brought to GH, where Lucas and Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) worked on him. Carly (Laura Wright) showed up and learned that Michael was injured, while Brennan (Charles Mesure) went to find Josslyn, who was examining Dex’s gun, to inform her about Michael. As they all gathered at GH, Lucas told them Michael suffered third-degree burns and might not make it. Meanwhile, Willow and Drew slept together while Portia called Curtis (Donnell Turner) to tell him about Michael while he was in the middle of devising a plan with Nina (Cynthia Watros) to take down Drew. Nina then called Willow to tell her what happened to Michael. At the Quartermaine Mansion, Chase (Josh Swickard) confided in Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) about the struggle to have a baby, while Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) talked to Lois (Rena Sofer) about having been pregnant before and if her current struggle was karma for giving up her baby.

While Michael lay in GH’s burn unit, Carly and Josslyn got a visit from Diane (Carolyn Hennesy), who informed them of the need to seek custody of the kids after Willow’s latest betrayal. When Joss ran into Willow at GH, she tore into her for what she did to her brother. Sonny and Jason headed back to the burnt penthouse to figure out how a bomb was planted. Later, Anna (Finola Hughes) showed up and got Jason’s statement, while Chase (Josh Swickard) was asked to join Diane at Nina’s when they arrived to take the kids after Diane got the court order. Curtis laid into Drew for his betrayal, then Draw went to GH’s chapel and ran into Carly, where the two had it out. Kristina (Kate Mansi) went up to the GH roof and confided in Sonny about not wanting to see her brother like that. Anna called Brennan and asked for his help finding out who caused the fire. After thinking back on raising Michael as a baby, Jason went in to sit with his nephew when Michael woke up and groaned in pain from his burns.

Diane and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) met for dinner at the Port Charles Grille while Martin caught up with Cyrus. When Diane pulled Martin away to discuss the Corinthos divorce case, Ric (Rick Hearst) plopped down in Diane’s seat to annoy Alexis. At GH, Carly and Drew sparred over Michael while Portia went in to sedate Michael after he woke up, assuring Jason it was the best way to keep Michael comfortable. Out to dinner with Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Sasha, Felicia (Kristina Wagner) mentioned Michael’s accident, and Sasha hurried to GH. She was comforted by Jason, while Sonny confided in Isaiah and Carly. Drew suggested to Willow that she assert herself as Michael’s health proxy in order to get her children back, so Willow informed Carly and Sonny that she was the decision-maker for Michael’s care. Meanwhile, Cyrus sneaked into Michael’s room and assured him he would soon be at peace before injecting him with digitalis.
Coming up in Port Charles, Michael’s life will hang in the balance as his family falls apart while an up-and-coming supercouple grows closer.
