While the Labor Day episode revisited the tragic Kristina (Kate Mansi) fall from Ava’s hotel suite, the rest of this week deals with the fallout of Cates’s vendetta against Sonny (Maurice Benard). As far as we know, last Friday’s cliffhanger showed Sonny cold-blooded murdering FBI Agent Cates (Adam J. Harrington). RIP.
Apparently, this is all going to go down like a proper murder Agatha Christie-like investigation. After all, we hear Michael (Chad Duell), Anna (Finola. Hughes), and Chase (Josh Swickard) say, “Agent Cates is dead.” “He was shot.” “And everybody here is going to need to be questioned.”
All those at the Quartermaine mansion for the so-called dinner party that was supposed to happen are now suspects, but of course, none bigger than Sonny Corinthos. He manages to get Carly (Laura Wright) alone at one point to enlist her help in covering his tracks! He wants her to give him an alibi for the last half-hour. Will Carly go through with it? Do we need to ask?
Meanwhile, in East Africa, Lucky (Jonathan Jackson — the real reason he returned to GH) encounters a familiar face who seems to be buddy-buddy with Sidwell (Carlo Rota). Holly (Emma Samms) always ensures she’s invaluable to all sides. But will her presence in East Africa prove to be lucky for Lucky? Because he needs to hightail it back to Port Charles ASAP. His sister needs him.
