Well, we knew Natalia’s homophobic words to Ava would come back and bite her and her daughter eventually. How very appropriate that it happens the week of July 4. Words like “explosive” and “fireworks” come to mind when, presumably, Ava (Maura West) engineers a smear campaign to discredit Natalia (Eva LaRue).
Suddenly, Natalia’s divisive words explode in black and white in an article in The Invader. And now we can only sit back and wait for the fallout. First, Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) gives a heads-up to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) — who’s sitting with Kristina (Kate Mansi). She warns her friend to “make sure to turn the audio up.” This means the article must also have a link to the actual audio. Ouch.
As news of the incendiary story makes its way across Port Charles, Natalia will have to explain what happened to Blaze (Jaqueline Grace Lopez) and to the ladies of Deception. Finally, it looks like Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Alexis team up. What could cause them to create a powerful two-person alliance? They are Kristina’s parents, after all. And their daughter is collateral damage. (Check out GH’s Comings & Goings here)
And who instigated this scandal? They must quickly figure out it was Ava. Natalia knows she said these words to her and that Sonny’s ex-roomie must have recorded it. And after getting kicked to the curb, she had plenty of motive to drop the homophobic hammer. Yes, Ava must go scorched earth to make it impossible for Sonny to go for sole custody and to decimate the last of Sonny’s precious inner circle. Ava will most certainly have some explaining to do this week.
