The next General Hospital spoilers for Tuesday, July 16, 2024, focus on catch-22s, unexpected interactions, and alliances. Plus, Nina and Drew deal with the fallout from Drew’s scandalous kiss with Willow.
Coming up in Port Charles
Wait…what? A possible Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) interaction? Is this why Sonny suddenly visits Nina (Cynthia Watros)? Is Willow trying to do for Sonny and Nina what Drew (Cameron Mathison) did for Willow and Nina? We don’t blame the ex-nurse for wondering whether what she’s doing is a good idea.
Does Drew try to recover from Nina slapping him by attempting to lay down the law? After all, the Aurora Media bigwig is the Crimson head’s boss. And what did he tell Michael (Chad Duell) yesterday? If he wanted him to, he’d get rid of Nina so he wouldn’t have to interact with her while he’s on the campaign trail. RUDE. Let’s hope this conversation that started with a slap ends without any threats or someone — namely, Nina — being fired.
We haven’t seen Dex (Evan Hofer) and Joss (Eden McCoy) since the cop-in-training helped the lifeguard move into her new digs on the Quartermaine grounds. What are two up to today?
Meanwhile, Lois (Rena Sofer) seems super excited to enlist Gio (Giovanni Mazza) for a brand-new opportunity. Does it have to do with her Deception gig or something else? (Check out Soap Hub’s GH Weekly Update here)
Unsurprisingly, Anna (Finola Hughes) has changed her mind about taking down Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Something changed. Could it be the fact that Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) is back? Valentin’s daughter sounded sincere when she apologized to Anna for terrorizing and stalking her. Furthermore, she even let her dad’s girlfriend off the hook for shooting her.
There’s no way Anna will send Charlotte’s father off to prison for being the head of an evil organization. Doing so would be cruel and unusual punishment. And it would cause the girl to suffer even more trauma. The problem is that this sat phone and its evidence is the key to Jason (Steve BurtonI) cutting the cord with Cates.
Here’s the thing. Jason doesn’t really need Anna’s cooperation to get himself cut loose, does he? In fact, all he needs to do is give up Valentin to Cates (Adam J. Harrington) and let the Feeb do the rest. How will Anna and Jason resolve this nightmare scenario?
“If you help me with that, it works to both of our advantages.” Finally, are Cates and Ava (Maura West) about to enter a strategic alliance that will protect them when they go up against Sonny Corinthos (Learn about Maurice Benard’s adorable side hustle here)? Sounds like it. Let’s hope this deal doesn’t bite either or both of them in the you-know-what.
