General Hospital spoilers for the Wednesday, May 1 episode focus on serious doubts and worries, a glimmer of hope, and a surprise conversation.
What is going on with TJ (Tajh Bellow)? This surrogate situation is bringing out a side of him that’s causing unnecessary stress. Understandably, he wants Kristina (Kate Mansi) to have a safe and healthy pregnancy. Yet there are all these variables with her that are concerning him.
Well, these growing doubts he has about Kristina aren’t going to end anytime soon. He doesn’t like that Sonny being her father means he’ll be connected to a dangerous element for the rest of his life. He’s hyper-focused on her life choices, like staying out late and getting into confrontations with Joss (Eden McCoy). What does TJ need to do to resolve these doubts? Talk to Molly (Kristen Vaganos)? Maybe the good doctor needs to talk to someone professional about his feelings.
It’s a meeting of the mothers (future in-laws?) when Natalia (Eva LaRue) suddenly drops in on Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn — who recently celebrated a birthday). Will this surprise conversation between Kristina’s and Blaze’s (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) moms be constructive? Or will Natalia do what she normally does and put her foot in it? She continues to struggle with who her daughter really is. But if anybody can tell her like it is, it’s Alexis.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) has to wear her Mama Bear hat. And this time, it’s not about Jake (Hudson West), whose father recently returned to Port Charles. Elizabeth is concerned about Aiden (Enzo De Angelis). Ever since her youngest came out to her, there hasn’t been much development. Does something happen with Aiden at school? Or is this about something else entirely? Like his own absent father?
Ruh roh. Teasers suggest that Nina (2024 Daytime Emmy Nominee Cynthia Watros) is hopeful, and honestly, does that ever end well for her? And what has her feeling hopeful this time? Her wish to have a relationship with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen)? If her daughter accepts Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) offer to become a spokesperson for that bone marrow charity, there’s a good chance she and Willow might have to work together. After all, Nina’s the head of Crimson. If this is the case, she might be able to get back in Willow’s good graces. Is that what’s going on here? It can’t have anything to do with Sonny (Maurice Benard), can it?
Finally, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) develops a plan. If she’s smart, and she is, she’ll develop a plan to break out from Deception and start her own company. Because cleaning up Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) messes isn’t getting her anywhere. Except for practically passed out on the floor of her office, exhausted and stressed.
