General Hospital spoilers for the Wednesday, April 17 episode focus on developing situations that are dicey and potentially explosive. You won’t want to miss this episode.
Proceed with Caution
This Carly (Laura Wright) and John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) situation may have legs. In the beginning, their dynamic was one of suspicion and contempt. Then she saved his behind from a couple of thugs and sat by his side on concussion duty for an entire night.
After that bonding experience, Carly was quick to tell Jason (Steve Burton — who talked about almost walking off the GH set) that she absolutely, definitely, positively did not sleep with Cates. Well, what a difference a day makes because Carly and John get closer. Does this mean it’s leading somewhere?
Always Sonny on their Minds
Apparently, Sonny (Maurice Benard — more about Sonny’s growing collection of enemies here) takes up space in people’s minds 24/7. For example, Cyrus (Jeff Kober) goes on the record to Anna (Finola Hughes). What does this mean? Is he suddenly pressing charges for the so-called brutal assault he received courtesy of Sonny? Will the mobster get arrested?
Meanwhile, it’s always Sonny in Ava’s (Maura West) world. Although we do not know why she’s acting like she’s acting. Let’s hope she gets to the bottom of this pill business for everybody’s sake. Teasers suggest Ava keeps something from her roomie. Did she receive the test results? Does she know Sonny has been taking placebos instead of his actual bipolar meds?
Cops and Wedding Guest Lists
Of course, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) is in mother-of-the-bride mode. Being in charge of the guest list is tricky business. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) recently removed his plus one. Now, Lois needs to know if Sonny will attend Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) impending wedding. Sonny seems pretty anti-social as of late. Do you think his answer will be nope, not in this lifetime? Or do you think he’ll attend?
Finally, Dex (Evan Hofer) has an optimistic outlook on life despite being in the doghouse with Joss (Eden McCoy). Anna recruited him for the PCPD; he feels this transition is a game-changer. Look for him to take another step towards this career on the right side of the law. (Check out our thoughts on Curtis’s potential career pivot here)
