General Hospital spoilers for January 19, 2024, feature desperate people making desperate decisions. On the positive side of things, there’s a little comfort and support going on, too. Do not miss this episode.
General Hospital Spoilers Highlights
Previously, Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez; find out about his outside project here) was blindsided a couple of times. First, when he realized Old Esme’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) memories returned. And second, when his father showed up at his door. That’s a powerful one-two punch in the gut right there. But you know who might take that news even harder than he did? His grandmother, Laura (Genie Francis).
So when Spencer confesses to Laura, how’s she going to react? More importantly, how much is Spencer going to unload on his grandmother? Her son Nikolas returning, letting him take off with Ace (Joey and Jay Clay), and Esme getting all of her memories back? If so, it’s time to grab the popcorn and watch the messiness, the mayhem, and the madness unfold.
Emotional Youth
Desperation is an emotion Esme’s been clinging to ever since being arrested for breaking into Wyndemere. And now, she can’t turn Nikolas (Adam Huss) into the police for kidnapping Ace. Spencer’s also untouchable for aiding and abetting his father. Because he has major leverage. Spencer could easily reveal her memories have returned. Sounds like Esme’s going to have to get resourceful with her next steps.

Unlike Esme, one of her victims does have a wonderful support system: Joss (Courtney Fulk). Dex (Evan Hofer) comforts his girlfriend knowing she’s experienced a lot over a short period of time. After all, she lost her grandmother, found out Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) secret, and found her study buddy in the park after he harmed himself. Thankfully, Dex is right there by her side offering those strong arms of his.
A Drew TWOfer
When Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Carly (Laura Wright) found out about Michael (Chad Duell) blackmailing Nina, Michael met the new and not-so-improved Drew. Yes, Drew showed his hardcore aggressive self, something that probably raised red flags with Carly. Maybe that’s why she and Sam (Kelly Monaco) compare notes on his recent change of personality.
While the two friends talk about Drew, the actual guy makes a big business decision. Since he’s probably feeling betrayed that Michael protected his father over him…does he decide to leave Aurora? Or has he devised some other genius plan?
