Spencer and Trina Share A Magical Christmas

General Hospital spoilers for December 26, 2023, are providing gifts galore as the characters continue to celebrate the holidays. The gifts in question? Love and a lot of A-list drama. You don’t want to miss what’s shaping up to be an epic holiday episode!

General Hospital Spoilers Highlights

Last Christmas, Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) was fresh out of jail and Trina (Tabyana Ali) reeled from Rory’s (Michael Blake Kruse) death (look back at their Christmas 2022 here). Fast forward to this holiday season, the two are in a much better place. Obviously, they still have their issues and obstacles, but they’re together, and they’re happy. And they’ve made great strides with their relationship; they had that wonderful weekend in New York, and they’re clearly in love.

Furthermore, Spencer’s really trying to make peace not war with Trina’s mom. Portia’s (Brook Kerr) still a bit prickly when it comes to her daughter’s boyfriend, but at least they were able to fix Christmas lights without too much drama. Now it’s time for them to make merry as a couple when they spend what’s sure to be a dreamy Christmas Eve together. 

All They Want for Christmas is Absolution and Answers

On the flip side to Spencer and Trina’s joy and good tidings, Grandma Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) hoping not to get run over by a reindeer this Christmas. Why? Because Sonny’s trouble-magnet of a wife is looking for absolution. Does this mean her whistleblowing “secret” is out to the masses? And, who’s Nina seeking forgiveness from? At this point, it’s looking like her new year might be a lonely one.

Meanwhile, Sonny (Maurice Benard) may be a little distracted because he and Laura (Genie Francis) are on the search for answers. If these two forces in Port Charles are teaming up, it must have something to do with Cyrus (Jeff Kober). Sonny keeps telling Laura he doesn’t think her ex-con half-brother is responsible for Austin’s (Roger Howarth) death. But knowing the “born again” criminal, his hands aren’t clean. Hopefully, Sonny and Laura can conjure up a miracle this Christmas and figure out Cyrus’s deal once and for all.

Blue Christmas?

Unfortunately, it looks like Ava’s (Maura West) holidays are going to involve freaking out, paranoia, and multiple dirty martinis. Some mystery person keeps sending her pictures of a dead Austin and has planted a gun in her drawer. She’s finally filled Sonny in on these developments, but this person knows how to get to her in the most stealthy of ways. So when Ava’s suddenly alerted, is this person making another move? 

If Esme’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) about to get caught as the teasers suggest, is she creeping and crawling around Port Charles again? Or is someone onto the fact her memories are coming back? It’s been a year since she jumped from the Wyndemere tower. Ever since, her life progressed nicely, and now — boom — things are about to change once again. Is Esme happy for these flashes of memories? Or does she feel doom and dread over the fact they’re returning?
