The revised General Hospital spoilers for the Wednesday, June 12 episode focus on hopes and fears. These two emotions manifest in completely different ways.
Peace Offering or Bribery?
Sonny (Maurice Benard) can’t handle the fact he and Kristina (Kate Mansi) are on the outs. Ever since she witnessed him go over the edge with Dex (Evan Hofer), she’s kept her distance. Well, he’s bridging that distance and bringing along some help to smooth things over with his daughter. (Check out the winners list from the Daytime Emmys here)
Yes, Sonny actually bears gifts for Kristina. He probably thinks the gifts are innocent, but the key here is how Kristina reacts to what Sonny’s giving her. Does she see this as a manipulation or a heartwarming grand gesture? With how things are going for Sonny these days, who wants to bet on the former?
Hopes and Fears
Teasers suggest Carly’s (Laura Wright) hopes are dashed. What hopes exactly? The ones where she hoped her relationship with Sonny would move past the hurts, conflicts, and pain from the recent past? Yeah, don’t think that will happen until somebody — anybody — finally susses out or does something about Sonny’s tampered bipolar meds! Make it happen, GH!
Meanwhile, TJ (Tajh Bellow) will probably express his fears once he learns the truth from Molly (Kristen Vaganos). His reaction is going to be outrage. But will the outrage stem from only learning the secret now? Or will his strict, micromanaging persona take over? How much damage will discovering this secret do to Molly and TJ’s relationship?
Advice and Challenges
This Laura (Genie Francis) / Heather (Alley Mills) situation is going to come to a head. There’s already been a leak about what she’s trying to do. So far, the only support she’s getting in her quest to ease up on Heather because of that poisoned hip replacement is Kevin (Jon Lindstrom). It doesn’t matter; the mayor continues to contemplate pursuing legal actions. In fact, Alexis advises Laura. Hopefully, Alexis will tell Laura to stop what she’s doing as soon as possible. Because this isn’t winning her any fans, and, as Jordan (Tanisha Harper) has alluded to, it might cost her the mayoral title.
Finally, the show picks up with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Cody (Josh Kelly — who recently made a real-life connection with a GH alum). It’s been a minute, right? Look for Sasha to challenge Cody. Just how is she going to do that? Only time will tell.
