General Hospital spoilers for Tuesday, September 24, focus on Sonny and Carly strategizing while Chase and Dante butt heads. Plus, TJ opens up to Stella.
Brainstorming Session
The murder of John Cates (Adam Harrington) further links Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright), whether Carly wants it or not. And now they’re stuck in this situation where their friends and family think they have sort of reconnected. That, plus Jason (Steve Burton — who says his return has been amazing) eliminating the existence of the smoking gun, puts Sonny in a better place.
However, it doesn’t put him in a perfect place. This alibi solution isn’t just shaky. It’s also problematic because it’s not as airtight as they think. So, that must be why the exes are strategizing. They need to truly solidify this fake alibi as airtight. What ideas will they brainstorm?

Obstacles Now
Chase (Josh Swickard) and Dante (Dante Zamprogna) are friends and partners, and they normally share a calm, cool, and collected relationship, personally and professionally. Well, that goes out the window when dealing with an intense and high-stakes case that cuts close to home. Look for the two to butt heads. According to the weekly preview, Chase takes issues with Kristina (Kate Mansi) clamming up regarding Alexis’s case…after Dante talked to her.
Defense attorney Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) is dealing with her own professional issues. She’s representing Sonny, who she suspects killed John Cates. Meanwhile, her bestie, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), is in jail for the crime her client allegedly committed. No wonder she suddenly has to run interference. Who does this scenario involve? The cops?

Speaking of Alexis, she confides in her new lawyer, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), who recently returned to town. Along with his lack of facial hair and thick accent, he also knows that Sonny probably murdered the guy Alexis is accused of shooting. So how will Martin help Alexis shake off this murder charge without implicating the man who hired hiM? Oh, and there’s also the matter of Alexis’ lie-filled statement, which she gave the detective. Lying to the cops is illegal. She could go to jail either way.
Finally, TJ (Tajh Bellow) opens up to Stella (Vernee Watson). While we don’t want to presume anything, he may want to talk to Auntie Stella about something beyond his grief. He may also want her sage advice on being married to someone he’s clearly not connecting with on any level at the moment.
