General Hospital spoilers for Friday, June 21, focus on characters facing major choices, connecting the dots, and one character achieving scorched earth status. Get ready to experience a fun Friday, everyone!
Sam (Kelly Monaco) has been on a mission to #FreeJason from the FBI. To accomplish this, she enlisted Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to find out what the Feebs have on Jason (Steve Burton). Because he’d only work with them if they had leverage over him, which they do.
If Spinelli strikes gold, that could explain why Sam goes on the warpath. Apparently, finding out the reason why Jason stayed away from his children for 2 1/2 years is to protect Carly (Laura Wright). You can see why this would be slightly triggering to the private detective. What will Sam on the warpath look like? And will anyone be around to calm her down? (Seriously, where is Dante [Dominic Zamprogna]?)
Meanwhile, the potential subjects of Sam’s ire, Jason and Carly, are dealing with their own issues. Look for Jason to face a big decision. Could this be whether he should betray Anna (Finola Hughes) and out Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) as the head of Pikeman? Revealing this information would mean his association with Agent Cates (Adam J. Harrington) ends ASAP. But he might also find himself on the wrong side of Anna.
At roughly the same time, Carly makes a shocking realization. One theory can be summed up using the immortal words of Taylor Swift, “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me.” If Carly doesn’t discover she’s the leverage Cates is holding over her bestie, then what is she about to realize? Maybe that someone tampered with Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) bipolar meds? Because that bit of information needs to come out NOW.
The aforementioned Spinelli pops up with Maxie (Kirsten Storms). Teasers suggest that they are both concerned. Who are they worried about? So many people in their lives could be the source of their concern. For the moment, Sam may be at the top of this illustrious list, followed by Jason, Carly, and the rest of Port Charles. (GH EP Frank Valentini hints at a major return this summer)
Finally, Tracy (Jane Elliot) is exhibiting more than concern. She actually “fields an emergency.” Does this happen at the Q house, in the Q stables, or elsewhere? Who’s in trouble?
