General Hospital spoilers for Monday, July 8, focus on confrontations, confessions, and heartfelt conversations.
Pulling no Punches
These days, Laura (Genie Francis) needs to tiptoe around the Ashford family. She’s had run-ins with Portia (Brook Kerr), Curtis (Donnell Turner), Jordan (Tanisha Harper), and Trina (Tabyana Ali — who’s teasing something exciting here) over this Heather Webber (Alley Mills) metallosis madness. In fact, she can’t step outside without hearing why she shouldn’t look into Heather’s rights, loopholes, or whatever she’s trying to do here.
Once again, Portia confronts the mayor, who might still take offense to Laura’s steps to look into Heather’s case. She knows that, eventually, a lawyer may make a case to acknowledge this cobalt-poisoned hip replacement. And what happens then? Will they free Heather from jail, reduce her sentence, or remand her to a psychiatric facility permanently? How hard will Portia come down on Laura? And how will Laura react and respond?
Confession is Good for the Soul
Cody (Josh Kelly) makes a confession. Is this it? Is he finally coming clean to Mac (John J. York) about the very important news he has hidden for so long? Hopefully, Cody can put this secret-keeping to bed and tell his bio dad the truth. However, the Quartermaine’s stable manager should prepare for whatever reaction comes his way. He sat on the truth for waaaaay tooooo long. People tend to dislike that sort of thing.
Cody’s not the only one getting something off his chest. Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) have a messy history, but they have worked through it and are now friends, fierce supporters, and confidantes for Monday’s purposes. Yes, they share a heart-to-heart in the wake of the drama that went down with the leaked recording. What’s the topic of conversation? Willow? After all, she’s on Nina’s mind a lot lately.
Frustrations and Impulsive Moves
Speaking of Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), she makes an impulsive move. Does this concern Drew (Cameron Mathison) and his campaign that she’s so hyped to support? Or does this have to do with the bond that she’s slowly developing with her bio mom? More importantly, will said “impulsive move” cause any drama at home? (GH’s Josh Swickard celebrated a birthday this week)
Finally, Sam (Kelly Monaco) isn’t even thinking about Jason’s (Steve Burton) paternal skills for the moment. Nope. She has to contend with the other baby daddy in her life. Sam is frustrated with Drew. Maybe she’s not on board with Drew Quartermaine and his bid for Congress. Has he even told her he’s running for Congress? Please tell us she didn’t hear about his running from somebody else. If this is the case, that’s hella frustrating. Team Sam. After all, he has literally told everyone else in town.
