General Hospital spoilers for Friday, July 5, focus on father-daughter fury and a strategy session between Maxie and Brook Lynn. On a kinder, gentler note, Trina and Joss move into their new home.

PLEASE NOTE: A classic GH from the Summer of 2023 airs on Thursday, July 4. The episode features fireworks in the form of a shot that rings out at the Metro Court Pool.

Potential Meltdown #1

Lately, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna — Soap Hub celebrates the actor’s 15th anniversary) has maintained a low profile. His relationship with Sonny (Maurice Benard) rests on shaky ground because of his job as a cop. But he loves his dad and steps up to support him whenever possible. This entire Ava (Maura West)/Natalia (Eva LaRue) scandal might be one of these situations.

Sonny’s precious inner circle? It’s non-existent. Apparently, he’s successfully pushed away everyone that matters to him. Does the coffee importer finally look at his life and realize he’s basically alone? Or does his legendary temper get the best of him…again? What makes it worse is he’s going through this at a time when someone tampered with his meds. So it’s unsurprising that Dante suddenly must attempt to talk his father down.

Potential Meltdown #2

Interestingly, Kristina (Kate Mansi) has been handling this whole “audiogate” by staying cool, calm, and collected. Well, that’s over. Look for her to lose her you-know-what. Does she happen to be in the same room as Ava or Natalia?

Because that would do it. What she’s going to need to keep in mind is that she’s pregnant, and this emotional upheaval can’t be good for her mental health. Somebody, please keep the unleashing of her anger from TJ (Tajh Bellow) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos), mmmkay?

The Best of the Rest

Elsewhere in Port Charles, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) have to think about Deception and how audiogate will negatively impact their company. So they get to business and start strategizing. Meanwhile, look for Nina (Cynthia Watros) to update Drew (Cameron Mathison). Does she fill him on this scandal, or does it have something to do with his impending campaign? If you haven’t heard yet, Drew Quartermaine is running for Congress.

Finally, a situation that isn’t dramatic or scandalous or will cause anyone to unleash their anger (much). Trina (Tabyana Ali — teases something exciting coming) and Joss (Eden McCoy) move into their new home on the Quartermaine campus. Congrats, Trina and Joss!
