General Hospital spoilers for Friday, July 12, focus on Anna’s big plan, happy news for Elizabeth and Jake, and Curtis and Portia hashing things out.
What’s the Plan, Anna?
Considering this Pikeman problem has been going on forever, we’re happy to report that Anna (Finola Hughes) may have a way to solve it sooner rather than later. For weeks and weeks (and weeks), she’s been talking about bringing down her ex, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), who’s the head of the evil organization.
It hasn’t been all talk. There’s been a little action, too. She snuck around his abode and found that mysterious sat phone. Not to mention the flirty dinners and, oh yeah, they fell into bed again. But now she has a plan. Hopefully, it’s a plan that will shut down Pikeman permanently. First, she talks it through with Jason (Steve Burton). Will he offer any suggestions or tweaks to improve it? Or will he tell her to give it up because it won’t work at all? Jason can be helpful that way sometimes. (GH Alum Kelly Thiebaud answers questions about potential return)
Alternate Perspectives
Meanwhile, Laura (Genie Francis) is known for her warmth, strength of spirit, and empathy. She’s showing an ungodly amount of empathy for Heather’s (Alley Mills) metallosis diagnosis and how the cobalt poison may have altered her chemistry and her capacity for having a conscience or filter, or whatever you want to call it. However, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) recently had to explain Portia’s perspective to Laura.
Their conversation might explain why Laura and Trina (Tabyana Ali — who teased her latest project) are interacting again. Apparently, the mayor seeks Trina’s perspective. Will Laura walk away from her chat with Trina seeing the bigger picture? Does she truly see how even the talk about opening Heather’s case actually triggers her victims and their loved ones? She says she does, but we’re not so sure.
Relationship Ups and Downs
At the Fourth of July party at the Qs, Portia (Brook Kerr) lit into Laura, and then she and Curtis (Donnell Turner) got into it. Portia has made it clear that she’s not sitting back to wait for Heather Webber to be freed or shown any leniency whatsoever. Curtis, on the other hand, visited Heather in prison, so he’s seen the pain she feels over what she did. Look for the husband and wife to hash things out.
Elsewhere, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), the secret keeper, confides in Cody. Does she tell him about Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen)? How does Cody (Josh Kelly) react? Surely, without judgment since he just stepped in it by blurting out his own secret after way too long of a period of time. Finally, Elizabeth shares happy news about Jake (Hudson West). Does she share the news with Jason, his father? What amazing thing has their son done?
