General Hospital spoilers for Thursday, July 11, focus on an action-packed episode featuring a much-anticipated blow-up, secret plans revealed, and even a surprise request. Do not miss a minute.
The Plan
It’s no secret that Portia (Brook Kerr) doesn’t think anybody should be taking up for Heather Webber (Alley Mills), the murdering criminal who targeted her daughter. The doctor knows the minutiae of her metallosis diagnosis, and guess what? She doesn’t care. What she does need is for Heather to stay within the confines of Pentonville for the foreseeable…forever. Meanwhile, Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) says she’s simply looking into Heather’s case to see if there’s something there. She’s asking the questions. She doesn’t necessarily want Heather to be freed. That’s up to the courts.
But everybody can tell where this is going. A lawyer simply must make a case for extenuating circumstances, mitigating circumstances, heck, all the circumstances. And just like that…Heather could be free or closer to freedom if she earns a reduced sentence. Portia. Can’t. Let. That. Happen. As a result, she comes up with a plan. Look for her to reveal this plan to her frenemy, Jordan (Tanisha Harper — who still needs a story on GH), who’s almost as opposed to Heather receiving a chance of leniency as Portia is. While Portia and Jordan discuss the plan, Heather makes a request that surprises Laura.
Clash Of The Titans
Gone are the days when Ava (Maura West) and Sonny (Maurice Benard — who reveals something personal about his life here) were a cozy little inner circle of two. They were roomies who sort of had each other’s backs as they cared for Avery.
Presently, they’re preparing for war…against each other. Ava would love it if Sonny lost his temper in front of an audience. It would give her the ammunition she needs to fight him for Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola). She’ll do anything to prevent her from losing custody of her daughter altogether. But Sonny’s in fightback mode after Ava hurt her daughter with Natalia’s (Eva LaRue) leaked conversation. Unsurprisingly, the two have a major blow-up. Who walks away with enough ammo to keep the other from destroying their life?
To Support Or Not Support That Is The Question
Speaking of Audiogate, Kristina (Kate Mansi — who just got engaged) is eager to help Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) work her way through the trauma of being outed by one’s mother. Will Blaze let her girlfriend in enough to let that happen? Right now, she’s in wallowing and self-pity mode. It’s hard to work your way out of that dark mindset. But if anybody can lift her spirits, it’s Kristina.
Finally, somebody else who needs help is Cody (Josh Kelly). He’s an idiot for holding on tight to his true paternity. Look what happened. He told Mac (John J. York), who quickly grew angry and walked off. It’s going to take a while for him to forgive Cody. Unless he gets help. Enter Felicia (Kristina Wagner), who also must feel betrayed, considering she investigated the whole matter and came to the conclusion Mac wasn’t Cody’s dad. This means she realizes Cody somehow tampered with her investigation. Will Felicia help Cody, or does she confront him to give him a piece of her mind?
