Josslyn has made it clear she wants nothing to do with running her dad’s empire. She’s much happier being a WSB agent. On the next General Hospital, she turns to Michael for assistance, according to spoilers for Monday, August 17. She needs help naming a new CEO of Jasper Jacks Enterprises. This way, she can get the new guy, Hudson, off her back.
Key Takeaways
- Josslyn turns to Michael for help choosing JJE’s next CEO.
- Carly enlists a new ally as she worries about Josslyn’s future.
- Brook Lynn could be blindsided by an unwelcome development.
- Serena pushes back, and Lucas and Joe bond.
Josslyn Consults Business Expert Brother
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) wants nothing to do with running JJE. She is good with her career choices. The WSB is where she wants to be, and she told Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel), who keeps hounding her about the company’s succession strategy. Jax (Ingo Rademacher) is off sailing to unknown parts of the world where communication is next to impossible.
This leaves Joss with the task of narrowing down the list of people who could run JJE. And for that, she will need Michael’s help. Michael (Rory Gibson) is an excellent businessman with extensive experience, so his thoughts and opinions carry weight. At least that’s what she told Hudson.
On Monday, look for Joss to want Michael’s assistance. In fact, during the video preview at the end of Friday’s episode, Michael agrees to help. But he wants something from her in return. What do you think he will want?
Carly Wants to Rely on Someone New
While Joss takes care of the CEO list, Carly (Laura Wright) will apparently enlist a new ally, who might turn out to be Hudson. The sneak peek features Carly talking to the Port Charles newbie. Carly wants her daughter out of the WSB forever. So she may try to persuade Hudson into making sure that Joss takes her rightful place at JJE.
Serena Draws a Line
Since we’re in the midst of focusing on businesses, one of the weekly teasers features Serena (Kelly Kruger) pushing back. If this is about Deception, she has already told Lucy (Lynn Herring) that she feels Michael could be an ally who’s fair and wouldn’t work to throw Lucy out of her own company.
Lucy doesn’t believe it. She despises the fact that she’s surrounded by Quartermaines. She feels outnumbered, and there’s a very real possibility she could get continually outvoted. Serena may try to push back about their plan to get the upper hand at Deception, especially the part about getting close to Michael. He is going through a lot, after all.
Brook Lynn May Get Blindsided
Apparently, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) is about to be floored. Something tells us that this is about Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) moving into the Q’s gatehouse on Michael’s orders. It’s easy to see why this development would shock Brook Lynn. She despises Willow and knows that the congresswoman has designs on Chase (Josh Swickard).
Willow has attempted to cross the line with Chase a few times recently. There’s no way Brook Lynn will want her to be anywhere near her husband.
A Bonding Experience is on the Way
With so many of Port Charles’s residents clashing, it’ll be refreshing to see the opposite. Lately, Lucas’s life has been filled with drama and harrowing moments. He lost his boyfriend, Marco (Adrian Anchondo). And Sidwell (Carlo Rota) shot him multiple times in the chest (thankfully, he was sporting a bulletproof vest). When Lucas (Van Hansis) and Joe (Jonathan Bennett, here are seven things to know about the actor) bond, is this just as friends? Will there be sparks?
